Many of the recordings played on our radio station are donated by the record labels...we do the service of broadcasting their artists' work and in so doing are helping the record-buying public to be informed about what is available. The record labels are happy to provide material
for our programming and we, in turn, are happy to announce the details of artist, label, and contact information so that customers can acquire the recordings. This is a natural practice of the recording and broad-
casting "industries" and we also have calendar announcements to let
people know where and when they can attend live performances. Many
sales of recordings take place at concerts, and it helps the performers
to have as many people as possible know about and attend concerts.
