I had the honor of opening for Gene Clark and Roger McGuinn some years ago at a gig in Houston. They were a perfect team and sang and played flawlessly. Sounded like a full band was on stage, but it was just McGuinn on his electric Rickenbacker (sp?) and Clark on his acoustic Martin with some very fine harmonies. An evening I'll never forget.
