actually the US dollar has lost quite a lot of its value since George W. took over.. so in a way everyone else that buys oil, suffers when the US $ tanks (Europeans know this and they knew that Bush was letting the US$ slide and they were ticked)

but there was a time when oil was purchased in Pounds sterling..
