Thanks Amos. The G3 won't recognize the Finale start up disk and I doubt if my daughter can find her registration number for it anymore to get an upgrade. Shame, because it was an expensive, but very good music notation programme, at the time and a graduation gift to her about six years ago. She did like it though and found it really useful for the short time she did use it, before our old "little Mac" bit the dust.

I think if anyone is really very serious about music composition on a Mac now, the best programme is Sibelius, but that too, is very pricey.
