Thread Name: What to pack for a Folk festival/weekend
Subject: RE: What to pack for a Folk festival/weekend
I travel fairly light for camping. Tickets, tent, sac de couchage, cooking equipment, stove and gas bottle (they all live in one box now after leaving one or the other behind...), food for 5 days, beer money, notebook, sewing kit, reading books.

As for clothes.. what ever is clean and doesn't need ironing!

For several years I found I had a habit of packing 15 pairs of socks and no knickers or 15 pairs of knickers and no socks. After doing that too many times, I gave up wearing socks. Now I only have to remember the knickers.

Manitas travels heavy. When I go camping, there's room in the car for all my things, a child and her things, and often another passenger and their things. Manitas goes camping and the estate car is full to bursting with just his stuff.

I have to check sometimes, that he hasn't got the bath in there or taken all the knives.
