Well, Rap... Yeah, most of DC is purdy safe but there are still some neighborhoods that ain't... Mostly in NE and some SE... NW, for the most part south of the Convention Center is safe but there are some areas up 'round Rhode Isalnd Ave. that are still tough...

But tourists generally don't go anywhere near the seedy areas unless they are on the way to the National Arboretum which is located in a terrible place but its been there going back to when things weren't as bad but if the folks who built it way back when had foreseen the future they wouldn't have placed it there...
