BTW the 'it must be held in a file somewhere on the PC' theory doesn't work if the buffer is too small to hold the whole thing. It will be constantly recycled and overwritten, so will only ever contain a fragment - it also will most likely be in some proprietary (possibly even encrypted) format, and not playable as a normal 'music file' or 'video file'.
