It depends on which program you are using to set up the CD-RW. You can't just put an unformatted disk in and copy to it.

You sorta need to explain what your setup is, and what you are using...copy & paste is not how you'd do it...it is more like drag & drop or 'copy' from one folder to another AFTER making sure the CD-RW is ready.
