I don't care what they do with the site. It should not be preserved as a memorial. I just don't find any humor in the Hunger strikers sacrifice. And to make a comment like:

It should be remembered that Bobby Sands starved himself and was not forced to do so by the British government.

simply shows that this person has no understanding of Irish culture, specifically the practices of "Trocad" and "Cealachan". These are not practices to made light of. These men should be viewed as heroes willing to sacrifice themselves for the principles they believed in. You may or may not agree with the cause, but their act of cealachan (an act to achieve justice)was one of total dedication to their cause.
