the only prob with Fender twins are - they are very heavy - if you are doing folk clubs, many of them are upstairs - horrible little narrow windey staircases at that.

I have a little AER amp which is very good - I saw a guy play an electric stand-up bass with in a jazz trio with an AER. Admittedly not the model I use, but not one much bigger.
