Big Mick, going back to your post 4 April 8.07am, what is the difference between saying "Northern Ireland" and saying "The North of Ireland"? Everywhere I have looked mentions Northern Ireland but I can't find anything which refers to it as The North of Ireland. Presumably the difference is part of the understanding of Irish culture that you mentioned 4 April 8.35am.
