Hi mudcats. I heard this song on a Qantas flight to Adelaide of all places(!). They had an alright CD available to listen to of Australian folk songs. It had all the obvious ones (great mind) like Ballad of Cobb and Co and Waltzing Matildha. Anyway, I heard this song and I loved it. I'm glad I wrote the name down as I can't seem to find the words or generally anything about it at all. I have a friend with a great book on Australian folk songs who I have yet to ask but if anyone knows anything about it at all especially the lyrics I would be very happy and it would sit comfortably amongst my repertoire! I was surprised it wasn't on here already unless of course I'm blind and that has happened before....
