The phrase "phonograph output" is unclear. If you have a turntable, it should have output cables that can be connected to any normal stereo component system for recording onto the tape deck also connected to the system, as Sorcha was describing. If you have a record player (turntable and speaker/s in one unit), it would take some fiddling with internal wires to make such a connection, and it may or may not work decently, as Bob and Mark mentioned. Your best bet might be to find someone local who is knowledgeable in these areas and have that person look at your particular equipment and advise.
