I once saw a television scene where they had a chessboard in the bottom of a fishtank, and introduced a flounder/plaice/some kind if flatfish. S/he settled down and changed colour to blackish spots on a whitish background, spaced about right, too. Pretty impressive for someone who couldn't see the bottom without doing a somersault.
