I wonder, some times, what happens to the threads that deposit there on the bottom of the great Mudcat abyss. Do they, over the years, become consolidated into virtual sedimentary strata, the individual posts "guide fossils" to be unearthed by future generations?

Of course there may be danger down there. Lord knows what might be created if several threads become intimately fused.

What do you think?

Maybe they should just be permanently deleted, and spare future generations the pain and effort required to unravel them.
