Michael Brothwell has left York for pastures new and the two hour programme on radio North Yorkshire, "North Yorkshire Folk" appears to have disappeared with him. This may be due to the new station manager Sarah Drummond not liking folk music, can't say for sure. This show was particularly important because it featured local performers and showcased the up and coming as well as some of the more established pro's. There is a show on for two hours on Wednesday evening called "North Yorkshire Folk" but it's "not folk as we know it Jim" it's, what I believe is termed, "easy listening". So you guys out there I would be pleased if you could e-mail (address below) the station manager and ask for our prog back....please
