Friends.............my youngest son (18) sat up all last night and wrote this song for my dear departed brother..........it has a wonderful tune. Perhaps when the dust settles I will post a link to a performance of it. ( Kat..........I didn't receive your email could you try again please moloney@myway.com)

Sky Commander
Here's to you Sky Commander, locking your course
And although you're leaving, I'll see you once more
And it's hard to believe, but we'll carry on and be strong
I cannot explain why, but we'll salute goodbye
And I guess its fitting, you've took to the skies
And you don't need machines now
Because you've grown wings of your own
Here's to you sky commander, a tear in my eye
I just don't want to miss you tonight
And it's far too clichéd to say you live in our hearts
So I'll just say live on in this song and these chords
Because they express my remorse
Here's to you sky commander, a tear in my eye
I just don't want to miss you tonight
And it's far too clichéd to say you live in our hearts
So I'll just say live on in this song and these chords
Here's to you Sky Commander, the day came too soon
You're alive in your children, and alive in this tune
And it's no consolation, but somehow I know you'll be proud
And I know that you'll like it, up there in the clouds
'Cause the loss isn't yours, it's most definitely ours
Because we'll miss you in heaven, at least now we'll know you'll be safe.
Here's to you sky commander, a tear in my eye
I just don't want to miss you tonight
And it's far too clichéd to say you live in our hearts
So I'll just say live on in this song and these chords
Because they express my remorse
Here's to you sky commander, a tear in my eye
We just don't want to miss you tonight
And it's far too clichéd to say you live in our hearts
So I'll just say live on in this song and these chords
