Yamaha have been making guitars since 1961.

It's funny but many people seem to think they are a very recent company, having branched out from making motorbikes to a sideline in electronic keyboards and cheap guitars. The truth is they have been at the top end of musical instrument making since 1887 and have covered the whole orchestra since then.

Then again, many people think Japan wasn't discovered until 1953.
