Some years ago the company I was working for was putting a "Gazeteer of the World" on line. I did some proofing.
My favorite place was the Executive Committee Range, which consisted of "five extinct volcanoes in Marie Byrd Land, Antarctica".

At the time, I was on the board of our local choral organization. We were going through some tough times, and every time things got really bad, our five-member Executive Committee went into closed session. I could just imagine them steaming gently away in there......
