The suffix "amog" must mean "lake" in Ojibway or something. There's a lake not too far away from here and its name is Lake Kawagashigamog.

I think it's pronounced Ka-wa-ga-SHIG-amog. If you put the accent on "SHIG" it rolls off the tongue fairly readily.
