I'm looking for the rest of the lyrics to a bawdy song I heard a long time ago. I can only remember the first line"A sol, a sol, a soldier went to war, For cont, for cont, for Country and for King"!
It's bawdyness becomes apparent if you say it out loud.
It goes on from there (quite a bit) but I don't really remember any of it.
And here is the really helpful bit: the tune is stolen from something operatic, but I don't know the name of it. I could hum it for you, but that doesn't translate over the computer well.
Anybody have any ideas?
