I have a copy of Green Pastures. Despite the stereotypes, and despite the theological problems, I find it a powerful look at faith seen in an informal way as opposed to the mainstream view more usually offered in our society. Translating major Bible stories into cultural parallels people could relate to-- wonderful. And the music!
