Oh joy! I am so happy to hear that Numa made it home safe at long last. yes, I had missed that update.
Don't you wish they could talk just so they could tell us where they went on their adventures? My husband works in the film biz and we have often talked about attching a small lipstick sized cam to our Cat Inky's collar and hooking it up to a real-time video website so we can watch from the Inky-Cam as he strolls through the neighborhood from place to place.
Inky got tossed out of his apartment by a cruel boyfriend when he was only a few months old and had the good sense to keep walking until he found somewhere safe, dry and cool (it was high summer). He chose to camp out under our cottage. In Los Angeles, many 1920s cottages sit on raised foundations and so the underneath is a kittykat wonderland if they can find a way in an out. We took him him and even tried to return him to his real mommie, Soraya from Sri lanka, but the mean boyfriend interefered again. We share custody now and the mean boyfriend got the boot. Soraya comes by when she can to cuddle Inky but he lives with us full time. let's say she has unrestricted visitation!
Anyhoo, Inky roams high and wide. He once got locked in a nearby factory over Superbowl 2006 weekend. WE found him and heard him crying but couldn't get him out until that monday AM. He has surgery for a torn ear once and I taped a label on his elizabethian collar with our name and address and the words "My name is INKY, If I look lost please return me to:__" Well, don't you know, several times people spotted him trotting about, decided he looked lost and carted him home under their arm! Once they brought him home from almost 20 blocks away! We ID chipped him after the Superbowl incident!
Well, good for Numa and so happy about Nanny Dizzy. I am hoping and praying this is just a bump in the road for her. Numa is her daughter, right?
