Subject: RE: A SAVVY little girl-TAKE HEED
When you said that the man "put her out", I thought, assuming that you were talking about the man in the theatre, that you must have meant "rendered her unconscious" (rather than "put her out of the theatre", or as in the case alluded to in the first post, "put her out of the vehicle"). The quotation marks obviously caused yet more confusion - I didn't put them around "rendered her unconscious" to indicate I was quoting you, but to indicate that those specific words were a definition for "putting her out" (as in "putting her out cold", "knocking her out", or - "rendering her unconscious"). I had thought you were saying that this man in the theatre had knocked out a girl (presumably with a drug of some kind - "drugged her").

It's okay - we were talking about two different people!
