In the chat room, I was talking with Max & this festival came up, when info came on it I told him I'd send it along , so for Max & any otthers. It's held at Mystic Seaport Museum, Mystic, Conn. ( http://www.mysticseaport.org ). Dates are Fri evening June 12 - Sun eve. June 14. Here's the line up;The Beans, Dick Holdstock & Allen MacLeod & Carol Holdstock, Golden Eagle String Band, Cindy Kallet, Margaret McCandless, Compass Rose, Kat ynt Seil, Mystic Shantymen, John Connlly & Pete Sumner, Dick Swain, Ken Sweeney, Carl Thornton, Bob Webb, Bob Zentz, Alison Kelly & Ken Schatz, Felicia Dale & William Pint, Marge Bruchac, Doug Day, Jeff Warner,Finn & Haddie, Buckingham Lining Bar Gang, & Northern Neck Chantey Singers. Of perticular interest would be the Bar Gang, a group of retired track liners, singing the songs from the railroad work gangs where they were employed. I'm told (haven't heard fist hand) that the Northern Neck bunch are as close as you can get to the Manhaden Chantymen excet a bit younger. Barry
