I have just heard the very sad news of Muff Worden's passing from my cousin in Seydisfjordur.

I first met Muff on-line in 2001 as we were both researching Scottish family history and, as well, I was just connecting with my Icelandic roots in Seydisfjordur. She was so kind and full of life. She would send me pictures of her house, her jeep and talk to old timers in town to pass on information to me about my grandmother's family. I would be up at 5 a.m before work and we would e-mail back and forth.

I had lost touch with Muff in the last few years but such was the strength of our contact that on hearing the news, I feel as if I have lost a dear friend.
My sincere condolences to Muff's friends and family.
