Not so much a bad experience but I worked there , I have worked all over Holland , in fact I have a Dutch Sofi Nummer (National Insurance No.)
I told it how i think it is , cos we were talking about Delft , and I dismissed Rotterdam, but please believe me Holland/Netherlands and it's provinces i.e. are great places to be.
I once had a weekend up in Friesland were I met up with the Wilson Family who were doing a weekend gig . We're still talking and laughing about.
My favourite place is Groningen , if you ever get there - try O'Kellys Pub.Owners Pete and Eve.
Real good atmosphere and so has the town.
Amsterdam ? - I can take or leave it, being going there since the late sixties - perhaps I'm too old for it now , but Delft ? stay on the train and get off at Leiden instead.
