Partly in response to a recent thread on Mudcat, today's edition of Folk Roots/Folk Branches will include a version of "Monongahela Sal" in the first half hour.

Also in the first half hour will be a brief tribute to the late Ed McCurdy.

Later in the show, percussive dancer Sandy Silva, formerly of Kevin Burke's Open House, will be dropping by to talk about how she uses her body as a musical instrument in pursuing traditional music.

And there's lots of other great music on the show as well.

The show is on CKUT, 90.3 FM in Montreal, and in RealAudio from the Folk Roots/Folk Branches website from 9-11:30 in the morning.
