State of the Art, indeed. But what I mean, of course, is the self-righteous "moral certitude" that allows people to do this sort of thing. This is an abomination that I thought humankind had outgrown, but obviously there are people who are so morally corrupt that they find this perfectly acceptable.

And as far as I'm concerned, just as morally corrupt are those who approve of it, or who merely remain silent about it.
