When Jonah sank into the sea he closed his eyes and prayed
"Oh lord I'm very sorry, that your word I disobeyed"
If you will only come and save me I will do as you command,
Instead of treading water, let me tread upon the land!

It promptly swam right up to jonah, and its mouth was open wide
But before he even knew it, poor Jonah was inside.

And after swimming very hard for 3 days, if not 4
The whale came near to Ninevah and grounded on the shore
Wherat it gave a little shudder and its jaws were widelt flung,
And Jonah Came a strollin' out upon it's mighty tounge
