I have quite the opposite. I can feel it all the way to my toes, conncecting to the heartbeat of the earth Mother and totally enveloping me in a warm cocoon of At-One-ness. It seems to continue to reverberate long after the drumming is over.

Perhaps you feel that way from fear of losing control? Not making a judgement call, just offering an idea of explanation. Maybe it also would have to do with what type of drumming?
