Bobert, sounds like a great spot! The only justification for digging up wildflowers is if you leave some behind and if you can propagate more of them in another spot. Good luck!
Get some BT for the caterpillars. Does them in every time (it's on my shopping list--I have a few chomping my chard and dahlias).
