Yup, all primarily singers. Jeannie Robertson and Copper Family are the two pre-revival genuine living-oral-history names from the list. Jeannie Robertson was a Traveller--if you can't find recordings of her, Ray Fisher has recorded much of her material. If you want sea shanties, look for books and recordings by Stan Hugill (d 1991). I was fortunate enough to see him perform at the Mystic Sea Music Festival the year before he died--he was a genuine shantyman who actually shipped on the Cutty Sark, among many others, during his exceptionally colourful maritime career which started about 1920. The godfather of the sea music scene.
