And so awakens Miss Montesquieu, who was known to be a deep and late sleeper. She stretched long and hard, then gave a big ol' yawn. "Hmm." She said. "What a loveleh dream. Ah dreamt that Ah was dihnen with th' mos' enthralin' man. Hm... he was hansom', too. OH!

With a start, Miss Montesquieu realised that it was all true, and that she HAD in fact dined with Slick, and that someone HAD gotten shot. All of a sudden everything rushed back to her. She remembered going off hand in hand with Slick to investigate the gunshot. Then she remembered fainting. Then she remembered what she had seen to cause her to faint...
