Can anyone cast his/her mind back to the episode of the farewell of
Dr Cameron (Ian Bannen?).
One of the female villagers sang Carrickfergus, with so much feeling that Janet (Annette Crosbie) was moved to voluntarily sit on her husband's knee (what happened afterwards is anyone's guess).
But I have never been able to identify the singer whose voice sang Carrickfergus so memorably.
Can anyone provide a name for my further research?
