Viz, that a human being is a spiritual being operating a physical body, not a physical body dreaming in some unknown way about being a spiritual being when it isn't. Viewed from this perspective, the rule of simplicity and elegance is on the side of the additional postulate, because defining ordinary cognitive experience otherwise is so unwieldy, as well as riddled with anomalies.
