The house opposite us was used as a marihuana farm for several months before it was busted - never noticed a thing other than an Asian chap wandering in and out at the usual sort of times, curtains never drawn... The house next door became a crack house for a while, woman tennant worked tricks from the corner up the road, out of sight of my house. We didn't notice anything untoward that couldn't be explained away to the cops (some chap tried to kick the door in late one night but the police seemed happy enough with his explaination) until one morning there were 8 officers and a sniffer dog. These are pefectly respectable houses in residential areas, occupied by what we thought were perfectly respectable people. Takes all sorts.
