I seem to remember a joke about a man who dies and goes to heaven. He is amazed to be allowed through the gates because he never was a believer and was a bit of a sinner. "Well," says Saint Peter, "there never was a hell. Everyone is welcome here." About that time the man looks down off a cloud cliff into a sea of fire with souls roasting and demons tormenting them.
