Subject: RE: BS: Any Detectives Out There?
Guy down in Kenton County, Kentucky was arrested for molested a LOT of young boys. Since he was caught in the act and had videotaped himself in previous acts (!) there wasn't much doubt of his guilt, but one day as he was being transfered from court to jail one of the affected mothers stepped out of the crowd and shot him twice in the "groin" with a .357 magnum. She immediately handed the now-empty revolver to the police guards and gave herself up. Last I heard the prosecutor was still trying to find a venue where he might have a chance of winning a hands-down, witnessed-by-cops-and-filmed-by-television, case.
Here's another one: an ex-boyfriend given to violence was shot dead by a girl's father as the ex- climbed through a window into the house. The ex- was carrying a hatchet, but he was half-in and half-out of the house when he was shot. The law says there has to be "immiment danger" and you can't shoot someone who is leaving the scene (because you're no longer in imminent danger). The prosecution said the ex- was leaving, the defense said he was breaking in (as did the father). I leave it to you folks to figure out what the jury said.
