My Dragon: by Limpit aged 9 and LTS



A dragon lives beneath my bed.
You won't believe how well it's fed!
For hiding there in dark and gloom,
it can see all round the room,
and every single sock I lose
he steals away and quietly chews.
So when I try to find a pair,
there's always one that isn't there.
And that is why, upon my feet
no matter in what state the street,
A pair of socks you'll never find.
But that's OK, I don't mind
for just as long as Dragon's fed,
he stays asleep beneath my bed.
I dread the day his eyelid flickers,
For then he might start on my knickers!
