My comment about his talent as a songwriter was badly phrased. I think his lyrics aren't much good and I intensely dislike his voice. I also don't like facile attacks on America. However, I would certainly be prepared to admit that he has plenty of musical talent. He seems to be a good piano player (though I'm no judge) and he can write tunes.
