Are you Persephone, that half the year
You rule the underworld? Could that be why
Those of us nearer death find you so dear?


Are you an angel who would wings deny
That we not know how close to heaven's goal
One might approach? Should we not seek to try?


Or, are you Faerie queen, to steal the soul
Of those who taste your kiss? Should I now fear
That dreams give Sidhe the right to demand toll?
