I am reminded that when my late wife, Jacqui, our son's friend Royston, and I, first hit the folkclubs of north Kent (RogertheChorister) we were promptly dubbed "the ShinyArses") by the now defunct Oast folk club in Rainham, Kent, because we were all middle class (bit of an insult that of a lawyer, moi!) with desk jobs.
