NO politician in his or her right mind is going to say "No funding for our troops in combat!" They would be recalled in a trice or sooner.

The Dems have made their point and it's not going to go away. W will have this as a thorn in his side. Be easier simply to modify the bill giving the President authority to use force and far less of a means of political suicide.
