Yes it was.

Kathryn Tickell's appearance on Woman's Hour was presented perfectly straight as 'here is a musician who happens to be a woman who is making it out there'.

The C5 documentary, on the other hand, although otherwise excellent, had Gordon Sumner tacked on as a 'famous addition from the same region you are more likely to have heard of'. Had Tootler and Gubbins watched it (and it's been transmited twice) they would surely be aware of the controversy arising from this skewed presentation at the time. Kathryn Tickell's music can stand alone without being patronisingly hooked on to a fading popstar.

I haven't a clue who this Guest Gubbins is, but sodding off somewhere else to listen to The Police would seem to be preferable to hanging about here to make fatuous and inaccurate comments.
