Sonnet 20/10/04                           CMXLIV

A muse remains forever: Part of heart
That forms the core of soul. Could I forget
What you have meant to me? Thoughts of you start
To weave new dreams, though they must past regret.
That we have parted ways does not require
I do not care about you: You are one
That helped heart heal, and some of dream inspire,
Though I may think that you will my dreams shun.
Thought of you still has power: You stir mind
With just hello. Should I chance of smile fear?
I cannot ask that you be more than kind,
But hope you understand: Are concerns clear?
At least for now, I know that you are well:
Is that enough, or might heart feelings tell?
