Does anyone know about any surfing in the Bay Area? My daughter wants to give it a try while we're out there if there's a place we can rent boards & suits & if there's some good surf spots. I'll have a rental car so driving a distance won't be a problem (going to southern Cal is out though).
We'll be arriving in Oakland this Wednesday evening. The wedding's in a park (Rod & Gun Clud, maybe) somewhere in Oakland at 5:00 on Saturday so I'm hoping that that'll give me plenty of time with the family to make the shanty session at Hyde St. later in the evening.

How the roadwork going with the freeway, is it passable yet?

Any more folk music happenings? I'll be heading for the 1st Wednesday of the month harmony sing in Berkely, I guess I'll find out details when I get out there.
