"The British people have it in mind to destroy New Labour"?   By putting in a Conservative in the next election? I understand that Cameron is pretty popular over there. It's not even clear that Brown will withdraw all the British troops from Iraq when he takes over in June. Please tell us when that is accomplished.

Sounds like you still have a bit of work to do there to bring the paradise on earth you have in mind.

And in the US, you might want to note the absence of a draft in this current tragedy.   Seems that might possibly have played a role in the Vietnam war unrest. Without it, large-scale demonstrations are just not too awful likely.
