Vote for Aidan Sheehan and Whiskey River! I just had this email from Aidan - in case you don't know, Aidan is a tutor (BA Hons) and a pretty good melodeon player, teaching entertaining and informative harmonica to all and sundry in South Wales, and Whiskey River are Aidan and Hereford native Martin Blake (of Blake's Three fame)...

Aidan emails: "I have been nominated for a European music award, and separately so has "The Whiskey River Band", i.e. Martin Blake, myself and the rest of the "usual suspects".

I am nominated as potential winner of "Best Zydeco Accordionist" and The Whiskey River Band is nominated as "Best (European) Zydeco Band".   We weren't nominated other years, and may not be nominated again; it may be our only chance to win.

Would you please vote both for me and separately for Whiskey River? Any chance you could ask lots of your friends to vote for us too - with such massive competition across Europe I feel heavy voting is the only chance to win these award categories.

Votes have to be in by midnight 3rd June 2007. We have worked hard enough for years, and it'd be great to get recognition just once, but we need some people just to click a voting button on a website .... that's not too hard to do I guess.
