The term "Gold Star mom" is given to ANY mother of a soldier killed in combat. She qualifies, and regardless of her views is entitled to the title.

I think it's time to close this thread and start over. For some reason, people don't seem to get the idea that we don't allow name-calling and ad hominem personal attacks. I tried deleting the squabbling, but it kept going.
